STYLE INSPIRATION // ART COMES FIRST

When I started my blog I initially wanted to collect and share things that inspired me and my perspective on fashion. Sam Lambert and Shaka Maidoh, founders of the Art Comes First network, played a major at this point. Their creativity seems boundless and their actions inspired me to dream more, learn more, do more and become more… This week the distinctive duo came up with a series of short films to present the sartorial standards of ACF. Each episode explores a relationship between key parts of the wardrobe and the ACF approach to styling them on the body… Enjoy watching! I promise you will love it!

OUTFIT // SUIT & TIE

Time to clear up the misconception that wearing suit and tie isn’t comfortable. Reality: It can be both, fashionable and comfortable. Especially nowadays, when conservative rules can be broken by mixing different materials or even adding a pair of nice sneakers to a well fitted suit. I chose a denim/cotton mix to make the proof. An elegant but individual look that goes very well with some white trousers.

OUTFIT // MODERN DAY GENTLEMAN

Gentlemanliness is, without a doubt, Britain’s most enduring export. Besides good manners and a decent behavior, it’s always essential to dress in a classy way and to stay fashionable at the same time. Luxury german brand windsor tries to bridge the gap between modern and classic by designing timeless fashion for the confident and forward-looking man. They gave me the opportunity to create an outfit with some high quality pieces from their new fall/winter ‘14 collection. I decided to add my own metropolitan and urban style to create a look that represents the modern day gentleman to the fullest.

STREET STYLE // PREMIUM

This is the last post about my time back home in Berlin. Photographer Julien Boudet of bleumode captured this moment on the last day of the Premium Exhibition for the NSS fashion magazine. On my side you see Vanessa Morin (left) and Isabella Kuru, two talented designers from Munich that i met during this year’s fashion week. Vanessa Morin dedicates her own label to the elegant and cool women, while Isabella Kuru designs and tailors progressive fashion for men. You see me wearing a grey Thom/Krom shirt combined with my ice-blue Strellson Trousers.

INTERVIEW // MADONNA TV

Big thanks to Madonna TV for interviewing us some days ago due to our street style exhibition at the concept store Sneak In. Watch it and learn about our thoughts on style and its progress in Vienna.
Our exhibition still runs a couple of weeks. So make sure to stop by and enjoy it. Sneak In reopens its doors on friday (25/07/14).

STREET STYLE // GREY UNIFORM

Big thanks to Check Czech Fashion who spotted me on the last day of fashion week Berlin right after the show of austrian designer Marina Hörmanseder. This grey, uniform inspired look wasn’t actually planned (yes, i always travel with prepared outfits!). But it turnt out to be very cool. A great mixture between casual and formal.

STREET STYLE // BLACK ON BLACK

On my first day in Berlin i immediately fell in love with the creations of german designer thom/krom. His collection is limited to the colors black, white and grey and his cuts are close to perfect. I created an all black look with one of his shirts that has been photographed by the amazing Julia Lang, who runs the blog geeksndfashion. She captured me during our visit at the Bread & Butter exhibition. Special attention to my details, who make this outfit special and thrilling.

STREET STYLE BERLIN PART II

Another streetstyle shot i took during this years fashion week. In an interview from last week i was asked how i would describe the style of Berlin. This picture would probably be my answer. It’s all about character, individuality and attitude: “Self-confidence is the best outfit you can wear. Rock it and own it!”

STREET STYLE BERLIN

This years fashion week proved once again that Berlin is a mecca for creatives and individuals from all over the world. So the perfect time to hang around with these souls to exchange ideas and to look for some new inspirations. I have seen some well known faces and made some new friends during my time back home in Berlin. Beside visiting a few exhibitions and fashion parties, i managed to see the wonderful runway shows of SOPOPULAR and Marina Hörmanseder…. And of course i shot streetstyles. Time to get inspired!

STREET STYLE // FRIENDSHIP

You know what they say about true friends… They are like diamonds. Bright, valuable and always in style. I am glad that i could spend some quality time with my brothers while i visited the fashion week in Berlin last week. You see us chilling at the Hendrick’s Barberhop in Mitte.

HENDRICK’S BARBERSHOP BERLIN // HOW TO BE A GENTLEMAN

It takes a lot to fulfil all the recommendations of a modern gentleman. Besides having a decent style, you definitely need a good amount of confidence combined with the right mixture of elegance and coolness. Last but not least, you should know how to take care of yourself. And that’s where Hendrick’s comes into play. In order to promote the beauty Concept Store Wheadon in Berlin, the famous scottish gin brand hosts an unusal after work event during this years fashion week. Good music and deliscious drinks will surely create a good atmosphere, while the true gents have the chance to get special grooming and beauty treatments.

During todays’s opening party, designer Jan-Henrik Scheper-Stuke and Hendrick’s Gin brand ambassador Coco will also discuss on how to be a gentleman. So don’t miss this opportunity and join the gentleman movement in Berlin Mitte (Steinstrasse 17). The Hendrick’s Salon of curiosities opens its doors until the 26th of July.

STREET STYLE // INTERVIEW TIME

Earlier this week I had an interview for the “Die Presse” about our street style project and today’s exhibition at the concept store Sneak In. It took place at the famous Café Korb. Photographer Katrin Bruder took some nice shots of us, while we almost spent two hours talking about Vienna and it’s fashion scene. Big thanks to Teresa Schaur for the lovely article, which you can read here.

And don’t miss our Streetstyle Exhibition tonight: 04/07/14 — 19pm — @ SNEAK IN (Siebensterngasse 12; 1070 Vienna)

THE POINT OF VIEW IN FASHION

Fashion is not only about staying creative when it comes to your choice of clothes. It’s also about how to present them. I tried to take a step further and started using a new point of view to present two of my outfits from earlier this week.
The chino/denim combo is a cool look and probably one of the best casual friday options for this summer. If you are forced to wear suit at work or for a meeting, try to spice it up by progressively wearing sneakers with it. Only rule at this point: Just make sure that they are clean!

STREET STYLE // VIENNA’S FINEST

Another shot of me wearing my leather callisti jumpsuit combined with some comfy sneakers by Strellson. Next to me you can see the beautiful Irma, whom i bumbed into some days ago. She impersonates the sweet girl next door and definitely knows how to dress in a casual and urban way. Reason enough to exhibit a nice shot of her at our vernissage this coming friday.
